Meadowmont Village Office Building “B"

Beam constructed this three-story structural steel office building with underground parking as part of the Meadowmont Village mixed-use development in Chapel Hill, NC. The project was delivered under a Cost Plus with GMP agreement using AIA A102 for the interior fit-up, with Beam also providing full Design-Build services for plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fire protection systems.

Designed for flexibility and infrastructure support, the building includes dual HVAC systems and two generator hookups to ensure operational continuity. Following its original use, the facility was later purchased by UNC Hospitals. After a comprehensive renovation by J.D. Beam, Inc., it now serves as the primary computer facility for all of UNC Hospital’s building systems—a testament to the structure’s adaptability and long-term value.
