ImagiFab at Marbles Kids Museum
Raleigh, NC

Beam completed the tenant fit-up for Marbles Kids Museum’s newest exhibit, ImagiFab, located in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Designed as an inclusive, hands-on environment for children of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, ImagiFab offers a brighter, larger space where kids can explore and engage with STEAM concepts—Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math—through four immersive zones: CREATE, MAKE, BUILD, and ANIMATE.
Contracted as a Lump Sum under the AIA A-101-2017 Stipulated Sum, the fit-up included several unique, interactive features:
In the CREATE space, Beam installed a series of glass window panes above an elongated sink, allowing children to paint directly on the windows and rinse their brushes in the same space.
The BUILD space features a LEGO wall where kids can construct 3D images using LEGO blocks.
In the ANIMATE space, projectors and computers were installed along with decorative lighting, enabling children to bring their drawings to life on a big screen.
New decorative fixtures were installed throughout all areas, contributing to a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere that supports learning through play.
