ImagiFab at Marbles Kids Museum

Raleigh, NC

  • Beam completed the tenant fit-up for Marbles Kids Museum’s newest exhibit, ImagiFab, located in the heart of downtown Raleigh. Designed as an inclusive, hands-on environment for children of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities, ImagiFab offers a brighter, larger space where kids can explore and engage with STEAM concepts—Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math—through four immersive zones: CREATE, MAKE, BUILD, and ANIMATE.

Contracted as a Lump Sum under the AIA A-101-2017 Stipulated Sum, the fit-up included several unique, interactive features:

    • In the CREATE space, Beam installed a series of glass window panes above an elongated sink, allowing children to paint directly on the windows and rinse their brushes in the same space.

    • The BUILD space features a LEGO wall where kids can construct 3D images using LEGO blocks.

    • In the ANIMATE space, projectors and computers were installed along with decorative lighting, enabling children to bring their drawings to life on a big screen.

New decorative fixtures were installed throughout all areas, contributing to a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere that supports learning through play.
